I had a brilliant time with Joao and his team! They have very experienced in all activities and very knowledgeable of where to go to get the best results. Will definitely go back to try some other outdoor activities and would not hesitate to recommend them - they provide a very professional service.

We (my husband and daughter, age 12) wanted an authentic, active experience in Cascais and Joao/Cascais Routes exceeded expectations in every regard. We started the day climbing (first time outside of a climbing wall for all of us) on a cliff with an amazing ocean view. Joao and his team were very supportive and encouraging. Then, we did a boulder hike, trekked through the forest exploring tunnel doors that led to centuries old irrigation systems (so cool!) followed by a delicious lunch at a restaurant only locals know about. It was our favorite meal in Portugal. After lunch, we’d originally planned to go mountain biking but decided to do another hike. It was an untraveled path from a local neighborhood out to the cliffs overlooking the sea. Only a local would know about this hike. It was incredible. We ended the day surfing. Joao could not have been a more gracious host. It was a bespoke day and everything was planned to flawlessly. You cannot go wrong trusting your precious vacation time with Cascais Route
I highly recommend it! Joao is very professional and this is the opportunity to discover the beauty of Cascais/Sintra region with rich outdoor experiences. Lots of fun as well. He accomodates your needs so you feel comfortable in all sport activities.
Joao and his team organised a great 13th birthday kayak experience for my son and his friends. The setting in Cascais Bay was perfect and there were lots of fun and games out on the water! The boys were very happy.
It was after the second day in the summer outdoor camp. Zion, my 7-year-old son, took the champion pose and released an \ I LOOOOOVE IT\. There's no better proof for me. My child woke up by himself, walked happily into his day, and returned delighted, energised, and inspired. The fab team provided exciting, safe activities in nature and held space for connection, joy, and learning. It gave me peace of mind and fulfilment to know Zion in the hands of Cascais Routes. Thank you so much.
First time for me and I loved it. It was a great day of climbing and discoreving the amazing natural decor just 10min from Cascais. We went between coleagues and, climbing is the best activity for a team building (team motivation, challenging, helping each other...). Definitely I will come back but next time with family, and maybe planning a full experience day with kayak, climb, hike. Really nice time and guide. Climbed 3 routes with our 7 year old in 3 hours. Guide was safe and patient and area was in a great scenic area on the water. Spotted a huge group of dolphins, which was an added treat. Meeting spot is a bit odd but, at a gas station, but if you look past that piece everything else was really a memorable experience.
I did a kayak tour in Cascais with joão and it was extremely nice, all the place, the environment, the safety and the people. Good job Cascais Routes!
