They were very uncomplicated and friendly. I was able to rent a board and they even took an extra board with them, so Id be able to choose on the spot which one i wanted to use. The owner an d the staff is really friendly and professional. They know what they are doing and they know they beaches and spots really good. Also the prices are really good and affordable. It was really easy to get in touch with them by email or whatsapp and they always updated me in advanced, if they where a bit late or if something changed about the program. 5/5

We had a great time with Rodolfo and Augusto! The explanations were crystal clear, they checked all the weather conditions beforehand properly, and adapted the time of our lesson to catch the best waves. We had two lessons, we could already surf white waves on the first, they catch the wave for you, all you need to do is stand up right on the second lesson, we got to try and catch some proper green waves by ourselves. The debrief after the lesson was also very instructive, you get to watch your photos (they have their own camera person) and they give you feedback, you can then download your pictures from the website for free. All in all, great experience, the cost is quite reasonable, 2 hours of pure enjoyment, and very professional. It felt also very safe, because the two instructors stayed in the water with us the whole time, and were very watchful of everything. Thumbs up!

I had a wonderfull time over there. Rodolfo and his team are just great and extremely positive all the time. It took a while for me to get up the board but they never doubted a second. The hotel was good as well. Nice, clean rooms and a good but simple breakfast. Everything you would need, including the view of the sea. Already planning to go back!

Fantastic lesson with this school - went to Madeira for a week of a leisurely holiday and decided to take up a surfing class. Coaches are all really nice and cool, they explained the technique so well that I managed to stand up on the board pretty much straight away, maybe on the second attempt. Gutted I only had time for one class though - if I'm ever back in Madeira, would get a whole week of lessons with Calhau, so much fun!
