The best place to live in Porto and its really cheap. The staff members and security members are very nice and friendly. I have stayed 7 months in SPRU , Porto. Thank you for your care Dr. Salma TABASSUM

Worst place ever. Nothing is allowed there. Rude stuff beside Diamantino who was a really very friendly. My room was very noisy because of the train station . Very expensive regardless the size of the room and the wifi is very poor inside the room. The good part is the living room downstairs where you can make some friends. Otherwise it's like jail in my opinion.

Well, the area and rooms are fine but its so expensive to be Porto. For example, I had to pay 300 euros plus water and light even though I must not pay them.

Spru is really a great place. I staid here as a postdoc student during almost an year and I was really happy. Don't let you be influenced by the aspect \cheap hotel\ of the pictures. Of course, the place is cheaper, even for short stays, than a lot of other places. But what makes Spru really special, in particular for students and scholars, is that the rooms are very clean (the cleaning services comes every week) they are comfortable and everything you need to start (knifes, little kitchen and fridge) is fournished. The place is very quiet, in your room you sleep peacefully and they are no disturbing noises (my rooms was orientated to the inner court). And if you want to meet other persons you might go to the study room or the living-room in the ground floor. The place is really well situated and even if it is not downtown you have the metro that circulates just below the building so it's really easy to catch. And in Campanhã you can catch trains and there is a lot of restaurants and some shops in the area. In my opinion it is almost perfect for these kind of places.
