The castles walls are complete, great views over Silves and the surrounding hills. Entrance fee is only a couple of euro per person. Not much to see in the castle but you can walk around the complete walls

Beautiful castle, there are some small photography exposition about how the castle was restored. We went in October and we didn't have to wait at all, not sure if I'd go if you have to wait an hour as I read on some of the comments. The entrance can be purchased together with the archeology museum (the museum it's ok, there is no much difference in the price, but if you have to pick definitely stay with the castle)

Great tour. Has a lot to see, great sightseeing spots, excellent photography opportunity, lots of info about the old times in the castle and it's reconstruction, and some artifacts and old customs... Nice places to sit and relax for a few hours, on the shade, just listening to birds sung and nothing else... Has public toilets, and a bar/restaurant with good food choices. Child friendly gardens, water fountains, fruit tree's, flower and a nice sculpture area to visit... Wheelchair friendly areas. A must see when in the Silves area...

Lovely and well maintained castle with an interesting history. Entrance is pretty cheap. There are multiple parts to the castle, the castle itself, a cistern(which houses the museum) and a cathedral.

Absolutely loved it, such a beautiful place and only 2.80 to get in, as well as being open until 22:00. Amazing underground area as well, telling you about the Iberian Lynx breeding programme. Just love castles

A medieval castle worth visiting. It takes about 1hour to visit and costs 2,80euros. I wish the gardens had been restored respecting the historic mauresque gardens. This contemporary interpretation isn't succesfull neither in the design or materials and detracts from the heritage site.
