One of the must-see places in Braganca. Lots of quiet restaurants inside, no glamor and no crowds (off season). While visiting the streets in the fortress, you can often meet shy stray cats, which is quite cool. We were in the museum itself, it's not great, but it's worth going for the view from the tower.

We only saw the wall and walk through it, we didn’t go inside de museums. It is a beautiful castle and wall. It’s sad that in some points we see modern houses or antenas that cut the beautiful view, but is a place to visit.

It's a nice place to visit once, but not a must if your time in Portugal is limited

Interesting place to walk round. Stairs could be quite challenging for some. Lack of information if you're not Portuguese. Very reasonable entry fee includes military museum inside tower.

Beautiful sights of the city of Bragança as well as the area of Trás os Montes. A very well kept castle, still in very good conditions! I recommend visiting the military museum inside the main tower, as it explains Portugal's military achievements since its beginning. It also contains an interesting popular legend about a tower within the castle in which there was a trapped princess!
