We were a group of 4 who rented a camper van for 2 weeks with Indie Campers in Porto and we had a really great time. The people at the Porto depot gave us an excellent service (shuttle from and to the airport, good road assistance during our trip no additional or hidden fees when returning the van). The only thing about the van is that it’s a little small for 4 people... can’t be the 4 people standing in the van at the same time. But overall experience was just perfect. Gave us the opportunity to visit all the best of Portugal. Would redo anytime, maybe would rent 2 campers for 4 people.

Terrible experience! We got scammed by IndieCampers - even though we purchased the best insurance policy that's suppose to cover any damage, this small dent that appeared on our van was charged on 800 on us! We couldn't believe it! We got charged as it was broken or all torn. Also, the van kept spilling water inside a lot, some of the van equipment didn't function properly forcing us to not being able to shower in the van for some days

Rent with another company!! Car was dirty indide and the roof was not thight during rain. Our Car broke at toll station on the motorway. No customer sevice at all, we had to stay on the motorway over night together our 3 year old daughter. Engine was broken at the tall station. We had to wait for 8h till first toll service arrived.

Great Experience! A very warm welcome by João. Everything was very professional and quickly done. At departure and return. Thanks for that. The Van had nothing to complain about. Tip-Top :-) And because of that, we will return to Porto and Indy Campers on Thursday! Really looking forward to meeting you all again! Im sure everything will be as smooth as the last time! CU soon. Our biggest problem is probably that our van (MotorHome) got in an accident and we were switched to a Active Plus (which is seriously smaller...). And we are a couple with 2 kids. So... extra room was really necessary. Indie Campers can not plan these stuffs and they actually were very professional when it happened. They kept me informed straight away by email and phone and I had nothing to do. Got refounded of the difference and had some free stuffs in return. Perfect service (as I mention furtherdown). Bad surprise we realized to late : the shower had ridiculously low pressure and no warm water. So almost un-usable. That bothered us during our trip. Also, 50L of water was not enough for us (2 adults, 2 young kids). It would be nice to get an extra water reserve in case... Like a 20L jerrycan for instance. DETAIL The ikea dishes make your meal a little to \picnic\-like... And everyday it is a bit sad... and hard to wash and get rid of fat and therefore uses more soap than needed). SERVICE : Check-in / Check-out perfect. Quick and friendly. Condition of the can is perfect. Engine, AC, etc. We can call for information during our trip. Service by email, text or phone is just perfect. I rarely had this kind of good experience with a rental agency... 5 stars for that :) I would recommend to rent campervan for only a couple because it is very small and frankly at 4 in this, you don't sleep well... LOL; The experience of a van is fun though. Happy to have lived that---- and tired also I put 4 stars because INDIE CAMPERS is a nice company and they can get even better :) I want to encourage such good work !
