We have spend the week with Tiago Pires school and it was the best surf week ever. Ricardo is really helpful, kind and professional. He took care of us, push us further, was cautious about our level and adapted the class according our capacities. In a couple of days we were able to take BIG waves, paddle like beast and we had an amazing experience of surf. This type of counselling and coaching is only possible in this family spirit business. They are truly the nicest people and safety, fun and team spirit is in their D.N.A. I would recommend them to anyone who want to try surf or take a step further in his practice. Disappointed. Felt disorganized. Showed up at the allotted time, told to come back in two hours, the instructor didn't show up until 2.5hrs later. I don't think he had ever taught for the school. Didn't ask us our names or levels. Laid on the rocks and practiced popups for 5mins then no instruction about safety in the water. Asked for intermediate class and was put in beginners playing in white wash. The instructor was pushing us into whatever wash was coming good or bad. Never told if we were suppose to paddle or just popup. Didn't enjoy this class. Hoping it was all a fluke because the guy who said he normally does it seemed really nice and organized.
