This castle stands majestically above central Lisbon. This rich and extensive history is captured within the castle. With only 10 entrance fee, you can visit the entire castle. There are amazing views over the city. I think this is the highest point in Lisbon. I can see the bridge & the famous statue. The staircase going down to the city at the other side is quite scary. I don't dare to try though. Worth visiting this castle for period 1 hour. Don't miss it!

Lisbon's Sao Jorge Castle is a perfect place to relax. At the entrance to it was an imposing statue of King Afonso Henriques. Set on a rock, the castle has a 360 view over the city, reminiscent of the original purpose of the castle. Today the gardens in the castle courtyard host a restaurant, an exhibition on the history of Lisbon and many birds: peacocks, geese and ducks. The price is low and I recommend it with confidence!

A beautiful castle atop Lisbon, still in incredible condition. It has incredible views over the city and is well worth the steep walk up. I think it cost 10 to get in and there is even a little wine bar overlooking the city to sink some Vinho Verde as you admire the scenery. Definitely worth a visit!

Best views of the city here hands down. Well worth a look when in Lisbon. The castle is interesting to look around. Really enjoyed last year.

The medieval castle is located toward the northwest corner of the citadel, at its highest point. Hypothetically, during a siege, if attackers managed to enter the citadel, the castle was the last stronghold, the last place in which to take refuge. It is rectangular, with ten towers. A wall with a tower and a connecting door divide the castle courtyard into halves. A series of stairways allow visitors to reach the walkway atop the wall and the towers, from which magnificent views of Lisbon can be enjoyed.

It’s a nice view. For all others a tour would be needed

If you are not really into history it's not a place where you should go. It's enough to watch it from the outside. You get much better panoramic views in the town for free. 10 Euro entry fee it definitely to high and not worth it. But make your own try.
