Brilliant town to visit....very historic and enjoyable to walk around. We loved the ancient castle too. Tourist office is very helpful and has a lot of info about Obidos and it's past. Would recommend visiting this lovely place.

My wife and I needed help finding our hotel (we did not have a GPS nor a cellphone with Google maps), so we spoke with 2 ladies at the Tourist Office at the gates of Obidos Castle on Tuesday, September 11th. They were very kind (we had been searching for an hour or so with no luck) and they put their heads together, figured out where our hotel was, drew us a map, and sent us on our way. With their help, we found the place immediately. Please thank them both for their help -- they made our holiday great in Obidos.
