Read and write reviews about wiride. wiride is the first Portuguese car-sharing app designed for university students and companies. wiride was first conceived in November 2012, with a clear intention of reducing costs and time of inner cities transportations, thus improving its efficiency and availability. In order to complement the public transportation system, and due to the systematic increase of fuel prices and, since there are many available car seats on daily private transportation, we designed an interactive car sharing platform to connect people so that they can share transportation costs and save time. Besides, car sharing as a positive “green” effect on the city context, reducing CO2 emissions, traffic and promote social interaction. In Portugal our potential of growth is very high, although our main goal is to spread our service internationally.
