Must visit when in Porto. Allocate at least 2h to really take in the knowledge of the great audio tour and have enough time to enjoy the wine tasting after. The staff is nice and friendly and with extensive knowledge of their craft. Can only recommend

We really enjoyed the self guided tour through the caves, allowing us to set our own pace. You learn about the history of port and the production process, and finish with a tasting in a lovely room looking out to the gardens, complete with peacocks!
Must visit place in Porto. We learn so much about the wine and how to make it in a very organized way. We got a free wine tasting after the tour as well.
Exquisite port wine in an idyllic setting. Service is above average, feeling a bit scripted when you are presented with various bottles. Staff is very open to input though. They unfortunately forgot our second order. Staff member played it really well and advised me to “work out a solution” with the responsible waitress, in stead of confronting his colleague himself. Obviously there was no such thing as a fitting compensation, just mere empty promises. Regardless, perfect place to try out some fancy port! Be prepared for a steep climb if you’re approaching this place from the north.
We did a audio tour and port tasting. The audio tour is fine, but quite long and may also be a bit boring. The service at the tasting is good, for 15 euro you will receive 2 ports and the audio tour.
Gorgeous estate with a self guided tour, which is ideal in the current context. Walking among the massive barrels and vats listening to the history of port wine and the methods of production was a delight. The tasting at the end couldn’t come soon enough! Service in the tasting area was superb and sitting in the sunshine enjoying some Portuguese cheese and port wine with playful peacocks and an exuberant rooster was magical.
Walk up the steep hill to find one of two of Porto’s most famous wine cellars. For someone who doesn’t know a lot about port, it was interesting to learn how it came to being one of the world’s most popular wine varieties. It’s a surprising story that I won’t spoil for you. It’s not a guided tour, so expect to use a handheld audio guide which was a bit confusing to use we thought. I felt that the tour itself while informative at the beginning got a bit repetitive and was slightly too promotional of Taylor’s. At the end of the tour you have the opportunity to taste small glasses of two different ports. There are a couple peacocks roaming the grounds - very surprising!
Great experience at Taylor Port! Self-guided audio tour provides a great education to the history of Taylor as you tour the cellars. The port tasting is great and is very good. Don't miss the restaurant as it is terrific with great fresh food and service.
