I have been to the Ilhéu before 5 years ago, and had no problems. This year I have went 3 times in the morning and the tickets are all sold out each time. I decided I wanted to try and buy tickets online; I had a hard time using a bank card to buy my tickets, and after trying to buy them twice online, I never got an email of my tickets. I then tried to call and never could get through to someone to help me out. I was then told by someone in my village that I needed to use an ATM to buy my tickets.. Not impressed at all, and sad that I couldn't show 3 of my friends from Canada the IIhéu. Shouldn't have to be this hard to enjoy something while on vacation.. a LOT of time wasted.

We catch the boat to Vila Franca's Ilheu and the ride was awesome. The last return boat from the Ilheu usually go around the Ilheu.

Després de quedar-nos sense bitllet, vam decidir tornar-hi el dia següent. A les 8:30h estàvem a la cua i 3 hores després, sense rebre cap tipus d'informació, ens diuen que ja han arribat al límit de 400 persones. Entenem que hi hagi un límit, el que no s'entén és que et facin perdre el temps d'aquesta manera, quan seria molt fàcil que s'indiqués a partir de quina persona ja s'ha complert el límit. Darrera nostra s'han quedat unes 100 persones que igual que nosaltres, han perdut tot el matí. Totalment decepcionats. Fatal organització i poc respecte cap a la gent que té ganes de fer plans des de ben d'hora. Recomanem efusivament que la compra dels tiquets es faci totalment a través d'Internet, de tal manera que ningú perdrà tot un matí intentant aconseguir els bitllets.

Usei o barco para o ilhéu. O processo online correu mal mas tudo se resolveu no local. Quem não for muito cedo, tem que estar preparado para esperar. O barco levava 35 pessoas de cada vez e nós só conseguimos ir no quarto barco.
