Professional, very good equipment, great crew! Amazing experience. Found Wahoo Diving on the internet, made a contact and got all the needed info several updates about the sea/weather conditions in the next days, to better organize the dive/snorkeling (as we are 2 friends one diver one snorkeler). We were there on August 11th 2020. Guys from Wahoo made the excursion incredible for both of us. Really had a great day, with the perfect see conditions and with the experience, the local knowledge and attention of Steffen, Bart and Captain Màrcia (who can spot a whale shark a thousands miles away!! ) we got the chance to see several whale sharks, yellowfin tunas, fish balls, and so many mobulas! And dolphins!! Swimming next to the boat while we were at sea. Even me that I was just snorkeling, I saw them all!! And I’m gonna get a PADI after that experience. Great in the water, also very nice on land ! We got back from the dive and had a drink and a chat all together. I got food tips about tremoço&beer (thanks Màrcia!) and Kima (thanks Marion!). I kept ordering those things for all the rest of the trip. Thanks guys, It was very nice meeting you! See you soon! Silvia & Edo

What a great place to dive. I have experience with a lot of different diving companies, but this is a really good one. Professional staff, helpful, nice. The boss is a nice guy, know what he is doing. The diving places are nice, I had the luck that I saw many whale sharks and Mobula's. But also without them there is a nice variety in fish, landscape and caves. I'd would recommend this place if you are looking for a good dive center, small, and just want to dive with experienced divers. Last but not least, the water can be cold but they have nice tea on the surface!
Great dive center, excellent clean equipment and very friendly staff. Highly highly recommend. Ambrosia is a fantastic dive site, our experience there was as good as Princess Alice, for a fraction of the price and with a much shorter boat ride. Also saw lots of whale sharks (5-6) diving with these guys and snorkeled with them at the surface. Steffen and his team are excellent, and gave us our favourite diving in the Azores

From the time we started to contact him on Whatsapp until the the unforgettable moment snorkeling with the devil rays, amber jacks, barracudas, his kindness was a 5 star :) thank you so much Steffen for making our day in Santa Maria a memorable one! We had the most amazing time with Steffen and co. at Wahoo Diving. All the instructors and staff we met were the best combination of really friendly but also highly professional and safe. We dived at Ambrosia which was absolutely incredible and saw lots of large Mobula ray groups and big tuna. We also saw and snorkeled with several Whale Sharks. Steffen, Marcia and colleagues were really respectful of the animals, making sure all divers did the same, and well informed about their biology. As a side note, Ambrosia is a MUST if you want to dive in the azores. The mobulas are incredible and are often curious so come relatively close to divers. Also at only about 25 mins offshore it saves the lonnnngg boat ride of other famous mobula sites like Princess Alice Bank. We are not super experienced divers although do have our Advanced PADI cert. Wahoo was able to plan dive trips that catered well for us as well as some more experienced divers and all were happy. I was also incredibly impressed with the quality of their equipment which we hired, wetsuits, BCD’s and everything else being relatively new looking and in really good condition. We hope to be back again!

We have had a great time diving with Wahoo Diving! Steffen, Marion and Marcia are super friendly, hearty and great hosts! My girlfriend did the AOWD course and in addition, we both took the Nitrox course here. Steffen is a great and very experienced diving instructor. We enjoyed that all dives were well organized, very well explained and calm. We enjoyed all spots. One of the highlights was Ambrosia – we have been there two times and both times, we have seen many, many Mobulas (more than 15 at the same time!). The equipment was very good in shape and comfortable. Prices were transparent from the beginning and fair. Check-in was relaxed and professional. We went to all spots via a comfortable boat. Tea and cookies are inclusive – we brought water and sandwiches additionally on the boat. Do not forget sun cream and a hat or cap as it can become quite sunny and windy on the boat. Steffen and Marion also helped us in beforehand of our stay with accommodation (we got a beautiful vacation house in Vila do Porto) and a rental scooter (22 EUR/day). We really enjoyed their great service and felt like being there with friends. We can only recommend go diving with them!
