The quality of facilities and staff are outstanding. Despite the current restrictions-the pool, gym, spa, eating venues were managed safely and professionally. The rooms are superb with a fantastic view & THE BEST bed we have ever slept in. The food was excellent but perhaps most importantly the standard of service and staff was immaculate. So professional and attentive. Pool and Gym were excellent as were the restaurants. I could not recommend this highly enough. If you have never been-YOU MUST GO!!! We left after 4 days ( a later check out/early check in) and feel completely refreshed & rested
This is paradise on earth! Heavenly beautiful and amazing food and amenities. Rainbows up all day every day. Their wine tasting and spa massage are on point! Learned so much about wines.

My husband and I have been lucky enough to experience many luxury resorts throughout the world, and our stay at Six Senses Douro Valley ranks as one of the best we've ever experienced. Everything from our room with its amazing terrace to the stunning grounds to the food and wine to the service was exceptional. We love traveling and normally have the chance to go away several times a year. With the pandemic we've spent more time than any other year at home, and this trip to Portugal to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary was our only vacation this year, and I want to thank the entire team there for making it such a memorable experience! We fully expect to come back again in the future, hopefully sooner than later.
What a wonderful place to spend the first days of our honeymoon. Wish we could have stayed longer. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and kind. The service is amazing and yet the environment is casual and comfortable. Highly recommend.
Unfortunately I didn’t know about this place and in my last night someone told me to check it and to go there for a drink. It’s the most stunning boutique hotel that I ever saw, the design of the place is simply unbelievable.. In every detail you can see it. simply amazing ! they have 5* spa super professional. the view from the hotel it’s something outstanding, the perfect place to relax and enjoy. the staff so friendly and nice. next time I must come and stay for few days.. this place really moved me. Go there and then you’ll understand.
Simply stunning. Amazing experience. Location, design, decorations and most of all the team made our stay simply special. Can't wait to go back as soon as possible and enjoy again that peaceful and relaxing environment and the beautiful setting.
