Good for kids
Highly recommend going on a horse riding trail with Paulo. I rode Apollo who was gorgeous and very well behaved. You get to see beautiful scenery and levadas and the horses are all very well cared for. I would highly recommend this experience!

Paulo and Paula are two of the nicest persons I've ever met and they really, really love their horses and dogs. The rides through the Laurisilva are wonderful, the horses are extremely well behaved and the dogs are so cuddly. I miss them all and hope to come back to Madeira one day...
If you have never tried anything a bit different on the island - how about horse riding? This is a good place to come. You get picked up from wherever you are staying and taken to the stables. The instructors are very clear as to what you should expect from your ride. There is a practice ride in their yard before you go off along the levadas. The ride itself is thrilling and there are times when the scenery is breathless. It is obvious their horses are very well trained, sure footed and know their way around. Safety is well adhered to, with an instructor leading the way. Achieving this adventure is a plus that really makes your holiday special. I would not hesitate in recommending this place. Although it has been awhile since I last went there, would do this again.
