This is better than any infinity pool ever. The view on the mountain and the sea is amazing. Be aware that the pool is only open when the weather is ok. The ticket price was 1.60. There are parking spaces right at the location of the entrance of the pool.

It's fascinating how the sea waves keep filling the pools over and over again with fresh water. We also went for a swim in the natural volcanic pools while the ocean was pretty angry. Bit scary, but also very exciting. A pretty unique experience!

One of the main tourist attractions in Madeira. It’s quite a scenic spot, sometimes overcrowded, and the water is not balmy. It’s a beautiful place to have a walk around and enjoy the wild Atlantic waves bashing the rugged coastline. If you want a less crowded natural swimming pool, you should definitely check out the one in Seixal.

It is a great experience to enjoy these natural swimming pools! Make sure it is sunny or hot in Porto Moniz before travelling all the way there as it can be windy and cold ruining a bit what can be a great time there.

We had two days left on Madeira and decided to visit the natural swimming pools, even if it was a cloudy/rainy day. The entry was 1.5 each and totally worth it. Going there on a sunny day would be even better, but if you dont have the option, give it a try. it's a really cool experience swimming next to the ocean and enjoying this stunning view. They have a changing room, which is closed right now, a WC, a restaurant and showers.
