Awful experience - I took one pack of 6 milks, it broke while I was carrying it and cut my finger. Extremely low quality! Also many important products are missing every time and you need to wait for many days, even weeks until they supply them again.

In the area of Madeira where we are staying - Cabo Girao - there are few (if any) nearby supermarkets. But a journey to Camara de Lobos enabled us to stock up with groceries at Pingo Doce, on the bustling main street. There is metered parking on the road outside, and also a small car park opposite. It costs 1 Euro for an hour in either place. The wide and extensive range of produce available was generally good value and quality. The staff were pleasant also. We'd be happy to do more shopping there.
