Visited The Capital Lounge for the first time last week and can highly recommend it. We generally like to eat early and as they open from 6pm that suited us well. It was quiet at that time which gave us time to chat with the lovely English couple who run the restaurant and B&B. The food was great.

Very good and delicous food. We ate the best fish we ever had. The service was extraordinary nice and we liked the atmosphäre.

Excellent, traditional English Fish n Chips prepared by Dave from Manchester and served by his delightful partner Paula. The menu is varied but we were here for only one thing, Fish n Chips which one craves when away for a long time. Peniche is a fishing port so we expected Cod like Fleetwood or Grimsby and we weren't disappointed with excellent quality fish in a light beer batter. The restaurant is pleasant and easy to find just by St Peters Church in the medieval Old Town. We will be returning and thanks for a great night. Eric & Janet Dempsey Peter & Christine Griffiths. The best place to eat! Everything was perfect, the food, the wine and the people were really kind and welcoming. Overall a great place with great serving and cousine. The brownie is still the best that I have ever had.

Great restaurant and outstanding service provided by very nice English couple! Loved the atmosphere, the hospitality and the service. The food was beyond delicious. It was literally the best tender octopus that I had tried in my life. The hosts were very attentive to our baby’s needs (he is 1 year old) and served everything fast. My husband loved the sea buss and potatoes that were the side dish to it. We also had some dessert - the toffee and the brownie cakes with chamomile tea. Marvelous! Definitely recommend this place and would love to come back one day.
