Authentic place filled with locals enjoying Portuguese food. We just walked in and received excellent recommendations on what to order. Service was so friendly and everything was perfectly prepared. Local prices too: for drinks, main dishes and desserts for 2 people the bill was only 21,50! Come here for no nonsense, good Portuguese food!

This Tasca is as authentic as it gets. We got rabbit (coelho) and sole (filetes de peixe) with an amazing \grelo\ rice. We missed the octopus rice as it was sold out. As desserts, a wonderful chocolate cake and an orange cake. Only drawback is that you gotta be patient as the couple (which are likely to be the owners) at the only servers and the restaurant is very popular. Definitely worth our detour to Alcantara.

One of the best restaurants for price/quality ratio. Every dish that I have tasted is deliciously cooked in a home made style. The owners are very nice and friendly. Worth a try but book beforehand!

The best polvo à lagareiro I have ever had. All food is close to perfection. Service is personal, warm and happy. Been there many times, plan on going even more. Thank you. Don't change.

Absolutely above expectations. And my expectations are high having my father as a chef. Had a skewer of mixed meat, very juicy and perfect. Big portion. Would go back if in Lisboa.
