Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré is a Marian shrine founded in the 14th century that memorializes an ancient miracle which occurred. Located on the hilltop called 'O Sítio', overlooking Nazaré and below the cliff, the beautiful Praia da Nazaré. I was in awe of the decorative history. A must see if you're visiting this Historical area. By the way, just outside this building is the municipal Tourist office. They will assist with any and all information you're looking for.

Nice little church. You may see black Madonna. Worth to visit. Excellent view outside the church
Beautiful with gilded panels, ceramic picture tiles and coloured calçadas portuguesa.
Nice little church. Free admission. Have to pay extra to see the sacred carving behind the alter. Nice tiles showing legend of the Madonna saving the Noble from going over the cliff.
Very well preserve. A place to visit.
