It is one of the main museums in Portugal, that focuses on science and nature. It is part of the University of Lisbon and the collection includes zoology, anthropology, geology, and botany. The museum history dates back to 1926 and located in an amazing neighborhood in Lisbon, Rato. There are always numerous exhibitions and workshops being held here. The botanical garden is adjacent to it the museum building though it is currently closed. Tuesday-Friday: 10h00-17h00 Saturday and Sunday: 11h00-18h00 Normal Ticket 5 (6 including Botanical Garden), Sundays before 14 free entrance.

Very nice museum. It's very big. There are a lot of different rooms, there is a lecture room of the university for a chemistry class. Theirs is also physics room where you can touch different things and see the results all based on science. It's very educational. It will be interesting for adults and children, also for students. There is a nice garden where you can have lunch

Interesting exhibits especially the minerals. The beauty of the minerals in amazing. It is a pity that I was not able to capture n camera. The visit was free of charge for both the museum and the botanical gardens as it was their anniversary. Nice!
