Very quiet on weekday afternoon. It’s wonderful to step on the old palace wooden floors and see the old furnitures and arts. There are dozens of peacocks wandering around in the garden, very small ones too. There’s one with albinism who likes to show his feathers all the time. I would come just for the peacocks!

Cheap and beautiful building. There ends the positives for me. Too little information, many pictures of the same things. Boring, and this is coming from someone who loves going to museums and learn about cities.
Very interesting display of Lisbon's history in a beautiful old building with a nice quiet garden with peacocks and cute sculptures. At the moment the antique history part of exhibition is closed, but everything from the great earthquake onwards can be seen. And it's absolutely worth visiting!
There is beautiful garden there, free to enter trough the main museum's entrance. Quite and peaceful atmosphere. About 20 peacocks there and you can take a seat and watch them closely. I did not visit museum due the renovation works. The ticket is 3 euro, Lisboa card is not accepted.
Beautiful garden with many peacocks walking around, and the surprise was a hidden garden, a project from Joana Vasconcelos with Bordalo Pinheiro ceramic animals. Wow! The permanent exhibit is a must see as it tells part of our history from the pre and post earthquake. The new Lisboa Ainda exhibit, what I was to see in the first place, is the vision of the quarantined Lisbon by 4 photojournalists, nice to see as well.
One of the most beautiful places in Lisbon. Not very turistic and away from the city center. You can find good temporary exhibitions there. You can go by metro and there are a lot payed places to park your car there. It's very close to Campo Grande park, also a good spot for a walk and eat an ice cream.
A lot of it is closed but there’s a cool photo exhibition on and the grounds are a great place to wander and chill.
Perfect place to take some rest from the busyness of the city. Take a walk and end up in the back garden where peacocks will be welcoming you. High trees are perfect to shade you while reading on the benches and statues and flowers will make it feel like you’re on a timeline journey.
