They have some food, trackers, if you want up the Mountain. They sell the Tickets and guides. There is a toilet and small info about pico. Good choice!

The view gets five stars, but the hike is absolutely overregulated. For a 20 fee you will get tracked the whole way with an active GPS (there is even a surveillance camera on the track). They also decide for you, what part of the track you can walk with the current conditions. Not my definition of a mountain tour.

Modern base station with useful information and friendly staff. Also has a little Café to drink something before or after the hike.

Before hiking to Mt Pico, we must stop by Mountain House, register hiking, pay money (12 euros as of May 2018), receive small gps gadget. We also are forced to watch 5-10mins video. One lady from Europe wore teeva type of beach sandal, no closed toe or heel. she was declined by ranger to go hiking with this shoes. So if you want to hike volvanic mtn - mt pico, you must wear at least sneaker, if it's not hiking boots.

The only way to get to climb Pico if you're a foreigner.don't trust the website opening hours, always call to be sure. They give you a GPS tracking device so they know immediately if you go off the path, at which point they apparently call you.

Cashgrab. Unfriendly, makes jokes about people getting injured and dying instead of giving good info about the path. First you have to pay 25 to walk up a hill and then they have the audacity to say that the certificate, which is a piece of paper, is \free\.
