I am an American dual-citizen who stayed here with my parents, grandparents, and sister in July of 2018. While the staff at the hotel were excellent, the two rooms both had unusual floor plans. It was comfortable, though.

Old family house turned into hotel. Decoration in accordance with the setting, like an old palace. Rooms are simple, very confortable. The breakfast is very good, has a lot of options.
Authentic, boutique hotel with a huge history. Perfect location: between the city centre and Mata do Bussaco. Breakfast is pretty simple, but good. Room was good. There are swimming pool and nice garden on the territory of the hotel. The staff is nice and helpful. You can rent bicycles and ride on the Busssaco forest.
Lovely building, super welcoming staff, gorgeous garden with pool, super cosy room with great facilities and comfy bed. The surroundings are to die for!
Hotel is great, but covid rules are to hardly enforced, you forget you are on vacations with so many rules, public health for sure, but to many rules, also cameras all around, more than what you would find in some open commerce areas. Room was great thought.
Characterful, 19th Century hotel, the oldest in Luso...interesting paintings and artefacts and a good value breakfast. The best sleep I had whilst touring Portugal too!
Loved this hotel. Laid back, lovely staff, great pool and pool bar, with fantastic gardens. Our room had a huge balcony with table and chairs overlooking the town. Comfy bed and tasty breakfast. Nice guest lounge available. Easy walk into Luso centre, with its spa water. Delightful place. Thoroughly recommended. Stayed end June 2019
It is a charming Hotel located in a charming little town. Close enough to the Bussaco’s forest where one can enjoy a 15 minute walk to the palace. Great service and amazing breakfast.
