The best you can choose. Centauro accepts debit cards with a small deposit blocked from your card, which will be unblocked the moment you bring a car back. No hidden fees. Cars are new, reliable, and overall in good condition. Reasonable prices. Staff is fast and knowledgeable, it took like 10 mins from the moment I arrived till I drove away. Very good CS as well. I rented cars in different categories already 9x and definitely will rent again from then. I recommend ️

Whatever you do, don't book using Revolut. They don't except it when completing the booking in the office, even though you can book online using Revolut?! They had to refund our Revolut card with the booking price so they could charge us on our credit card, meaning we will pay transaction fees etc. Centauro need to align their digital system with their office systems. Having paid for express check-in / premium service we still had to queue to take a ticket. Just trying to manage any expectations, whilst this wasn't ideal, it wasn't a huge problem nor too lengthy a wait as you still queue jump due to being a premium customer. One of us was instructed to wait outside, even though there was another couple being served together?! (At least align your policies...again, inconsistencies) I think clear signage would help on this front. We were given a car, baring in mind the light is low as it is in a basement, the car was filthy which we only realised once we had left. There was a sticker on the outside saying it had been valeted...it clearly hadn't been, and during a pandemic I would have expected a much higher level of cleaning. I brought my own antibac wipes, but that's really not the point. The car is filthy and if we weren't in a rush, we would have taken it straight back. The photos attached only show the centre console. 175 charged to our card which is a tank of fuel and the tolls. Bit of a pain, but nothing too terrible.

Competitive Pricing, clean cars, friendly staff and a very good overall experience. Not only once, but consistently, through multiple times. I'd recommend Centauro to anyone and will, for sure, rent a car with them whenever I need one.

Everything worked as expected. The only minus is that they charge your credit card upfront for fuel (in case you don’t return the car full) and toll. The fuel amount is fully refunded at the end of the rental period, but the toll takes 5 days to be refunded after you return the car. For me that have a non-EUR credit card, the charge and refund generates gain/loss due to the currency rate difference between the dates, which is not good...

Good en quick service after online booking. Also quick acceptance after using the car. Description where the shuttle pickup is at the airport, was not zo good but probably this was because of a wrong translation in dutch. The adress to bring back the car was not found in our Garmin navigation. So we had to search al little in the environment of the airport. Perhaps they could give a small map of the location to the people renting a car. Overall a very good service and good price/quality

We were lucky to have a successful interaction with Centauro. Reasonable prices and possibility to book with debit card. We booked with the premium option including full cover without excess and road assistance, and it proved to be very useful - we had a problem with the battery and they sent somebody to fix it (we had to wait for a while, but that makes sense because we were far away). Hope we'll be as lucky next time!

Been coming here for the past 4 years, became a regular for all my trips to Portugal after the first rental with them. No fuss car drop, they are not looking for the small dents and trying to make money like that. Could be a little faster when collecting the car, but compared to most other experiences (been travelling in/out from Lisbon for the past 15 years) this is at the top. Staff is friendly and patient. So far so good, which is a lot to say regarding car rental agencies. I recommend and will keep coming as usual.

DO NOT BOOK WITH CENTAURO. Do yourselves a favour. Pay a little more for a reputable car hire company...you get what you pay for. As a loyal customer I was absolutely scammed out of my damage deposit. Superficial pre-existing scratches on the rims were highlighted in the dropoff inspection, which could not have possibly been created by me given the fact I had the rental car for 4 hours and went directly to one underground car park (no curbs there!) and back to the hire depot for drop off. I picked up my rental in the early morning and could barely find it as it was parked in the darkest, unlit corner of an underground car park. Now I know why.
