Impressive creamy white late baroque church with a truly spectacular “terrace” on the roof of the nave, which is like something out of a movie set. Price to climb the spiral stairs is just 3, and a small door in the dome also gives you a scary view straight down into the church itself—be mindful of the loooooow balustrade and also the electric wires running around the edge of the roof to keep the birds away ️️

One of the most beautiful churches in Lisbon. It looks fantastic outside and the park in front the church my favorite. Nice interior with color marble everywhere. For 4 you have a chance to get upstairs to see nice view and it possible to look inside of church from high balcony. But in the same time it is kinda pity that you can’t visit the patio, I would love to see it also. As not religious person, for me it was nice experience to see classic architecture of Portugal.

We lucked out and caught the sunset from the roof of the Basílica and we were the only people there! The woman who we paid 3 to was sweet and unlocked the door for us to go up the spiral stairs to the top. The bell rung just as the sun was setting...truly a magical moment in Lisbon!

Passed the place at night while being on a Lisbon tram - there was the final stop of a tram there, and some time to enjoy the beauty of this architecture at night. Really magical spot!

Interesting baroque style church with a good view from the tower over the city. Visa vi is a park with a playground so if you travel as us they can play and rest in it.

There are many churches in Lisbon but this one is iconic. Outstanding outer views and lovely inside, quick visits are also possible, just be respectful with the people praying inside . Well connected using both tram and bus but also possible to easily reach by walking, also conveniente to combine in many walking circuits around that beautiful city.
