Great place to go whale watching. We had a good briefing at the beginning, good explanations in several languages during the trip and when we came back from the trip, we got a briefing about the animals we had seen. At the very end you get a “whale watching pass” with all the animals you saw on the trip - a lovely gift from the company!

I have been two times (2016/2018) for a week with Espaco Talassa at Pico Island. And it will not have been the last time .... one person in our group was here the 7th time!! The hotel is very familiar. Rooms are not luxury but give you all accomodation you really need. You find a good kitchen with spots on food produced on the island, avoiding plastic etc. The philosophy of the house is on a very high level concerning practicising animal protection (especially whales, dolphins, turtles, sea birds) and evironnement protection, even on sea as on land. The excursions at sea are absolutely sensationel. Skippers and biologists have a very good knowlege and they really love to introduce you to the world of sea live. Guiding the boats, they allways take care on the animal welfare. One turn is between 3 and 4 houres and normally you will be astonished of what you have seen and about all the information around the spotted animals. Every day in the evening you can visit informations on different themes of sea live, animals, the island itself, environnement. And all this in words that every „normal“ person can understand. The owner of Espaco is a very engaged animal and environnement activist and that is good so .... Thank you very much Serge !!

Super moment avec une équipe très pédagogue. Serge, installé depuis 1989, prone le tourisme responsable donc pas de nage avec les dauphins ici mais c est tant mieux on les voit de bien assez près depuis le zodiac, ils jouent avec le bateau! Pas de fausse promesse, on ressort trempé donc les vestes prêtées sont bien utiles! On est prevenu à l'avance si il y a une trop grande proba qu on ne voit pas les baleines, avec possibilité de reporter en fonction des places dispo, bref vraiement francs sur l'experience avant le depart.
