As a tourist you expect a little litter occasionally on the streets when walking around. But the guide books say ismat is a great teaching place,. Unfortunately in Portimão they don't care if there is rubbish outside the front gate. It's 50m from my door dogs and cats use it as a toilet and locals keep adding to it. There's nothing great about this place, the don't care for the environment or the people that live locally. Students throw cigarettes and shout when they leave anytime uptown 12 am.. Shame on them
