We had a great time with Haliotis, completing our PADI's open waters course. Bruno was our instructor and he was fun, professional, very competent and laid back. Learning the basics was not too difficult thanks to precise and easy-to-follow instructions. He pointed out the different sea life and would tell us the names of each creature in Portuguese and English. We did two dive trips to Berlenga Island and even though it was a bit of a cloudy day we had a great time. They have a friendly atmosphere and the material was in really good conditions. We learned a lot not only about diving but as also about what other treasures the ocean hides from us. Thanks for a great week Haliotis!

We completed our PADI open waters diving course with Haliotis in Peniche and we couldn't be happier with it. The course consisted in 2 days of theory and the first water experiences in the swimming pool and, on the two following days, we headed to Berlengas for the real fun stuff: Diving the Atlantic waters in one of the most majestic spots in Portugal. Bruno was our instructor and with his help we could see a huge progress throughout the 4 days we stayed with them for the course. All the staff is super friendly and their equipment's are in great conditions and we felt extremely comfortable and welcome. We honestly could not have asked for a better diving experience or a better Diving school than Haliotis. We saw octopuses, Ocean Sun-fish, crabs, lobster and countless fish. We felt completely confident going into the final exam and Haliotis was able to certify us on the spot. If you are planning to learn how to dive or to do a first try we would recommend them. In just four days we completed our PADI Open Water Diver Course and we are now certified to dive around the world!

Haliotis is an excellent diving center and diving school. They have a team of dedicated and experienced professionals that share their knowledge and expertise. The divespots in Berlengas, a natural reserve, are absolutely fantastic with a rich biodiversity full of underwater treasures. I strongly recommend Haliotis for a wonderful underwater experience!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff, with awesome competence - their instalations are incredibly comfortable (that hot shower at the end of the day is a delight!), they pamper the divers with treats and are professional to a fault, both in terms of the security and well-being of their costumers, but also on making sure each diver has a good experience, by choosing varied diving places. A dive with Haliotis is a guaranteed good experience!

My son was hit by a sight seeing boats propeller while diving. The boats were very close to the dive boat throughout the dive and no signs were up to warn them. It was obvious to anyone watching that this was a dangerous situation. He received no apology and they have not contacted us since to see if he was fine after requiring stitches to his head. He was extremely lucky.

We made some surf lessons and we found a great young group with experience and passion.. the teachers are great and they introduce surf technique and give you helpful tips during the exercises.. they also brought you in the different beach according to the weather and the wind.. the prize are good too.. suggest!

My husband had a really bad experience. He is usually really patient and understanding, but for the first time he complained and for sure is not coming back again. Equipment is really in need of exchanging!
