Located in the city centre. This is one of the best rated restaurants in town by the time of this post. I was quite interesting to taste it as Portuguese food is delicious all around the country. And, nevertheless, it was incredible. The codfish with bread was cooked perfectly. I just have one regret - digestive drinks are served by glass. Although bubbling wine was in the menu at the same place it didn't have price and it wasn't possible to order less than a bottle. The staff was very attentive and professional. I recommend if you want to lift up your experience of Portuguese traditional food to go here!

Really beautiful place, small garden with fountain, good music. Food okay. Dessert amazing, chef’s suggestion the chocolate cake with cookies is fantastic.

I ordered cheek meat and the tender meat was literally melting in my mouth. The blend of sweet red wine and chestnut was divine. Everything in the dish was in harmony. Excellent quality for the price.

Didn't know Portuguese traditional food can be this yummy. Do order the black pork cheek with Port wine reduction sauce and chestnut, such a gorgeous delight! My boyfriend is a Portuguese so, this is really proper given his \proof test\!

Great food, yummy octopus 10/10. Pork cheeks and medallion a la historico steak delicious. Good house wine and courteous service

Top class. Great food and service. Highly recommended. Offered background live music and cared well for a small group where all the food was cooked to perfection. Great place full of character right in the historic center of Guimarães.

For dinner, the service was polite and speedy and food was delicious. Pictured is a creamy curry Atlantic salmon with veggies, and a vegetarian pasta dish. It was in a finely decorated medieval style, just past a courtyard, which had a had a couple parrots, one that greeted us as we left. Also enjoyed the large framed architectural drawings of Guimaraes throughout the restaurant, decorative elements and monogrammed details on the table.

I'd love to rate it more as the place is incredibly beautiful (especially the garden) and the staff is very kind. However the food was a bit disappointing as my dish was too salty and my friend's was too dry. Maybe not such a big deal but I guess I was expecting to be as amazed by the food as from the place and the good look of the plates!
