An unforgettable trip. We chose the North West of the island to explore and it was incredible. We went off road up a mountain, had amazing views. Visited the silver forest, saw wonderful waterfalls. Plus much much more. We were picked up at 9.10 am from Calheta and came back around five pm I think. Our guide was fantastic and new so much about botany which was fantastic he stopped ever now and then to show us a plant to taste touch or small. A very knowledgeable man. Worth every penny. An absolute must do when In Madeira.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Tour guides, routes, everything was perfect. The extra lunch for 12 was brilliant. A very big thank you to both Anna (hope I got the spelling right) and Spencer for showing us around this wonderful island. If we're ever around again, we'll make sure to book you guys again.

They delivered! From the time I was picked up at the hotel, until I was dropped off some nine hours later, this was an adventure! Our guide, Spencer, took us on an exciting trip through the mountains, on dirt roads, and made sure we got ample time to take pictures wherever we went! His knowledge of the island’s history, flora and fauna, along with amusing stories from his time on the island, made the trip very enjoyable. And the lunch was fantastic! Try the octopus!

Spencer gave us the best day out ever. Haven't laughed that much for a while, albeit hysterically whilst standing up on the off road section. A true gent and some amazing experiences not forgotten for a long time.

This was the best Jeep Safari trip ever. We had so much fun and enjoyed the incredible and unbelievable views on landscapes. Our best tour guide with the name Jose was really good so the Green Devil Safari company should be really proud for having a person like him. He did his job to 110% and made us enjoy the ride all the time. Gave us relevant information about everything and anything and on the side of that he was always joking and that’s made the whole ride much more exciting. In my opinion this gut should get his salary raised :) Thank you so much Jose, you are doing your job very well, you have to be proud and say hi to all of your cousins (you know what I mean :) haha if you ever wanna do this activity make sure you want with Jose, you will have a lot of fun. I will definitely recommend this to all of my friends and relatives. In this Jeep Safari trip, you’ll not walk so much by foot. Thank you Green Devil Safari and a special and big thanks to Jose who made this worth it. :) The ride was from 8.20 to 17.30 so make sure to think about these things: 1. Eat a nice breakfast cuz you will be hungry and we ate lunch around 3-4 o’clock which is pretty late but no big deal. 2. Bring water, towel and bathing clothes cuz there will be one or two amazing and natural places to swim. 3. Make sure you have cash with you since no shops is taking cards and you don’t have any ATM. 4. Price for the lunch was 12 and you could choose between 2 different restaurants according to the guide and we choose the one with a 3 course meal which was nice but the view at that restaurant and outside was breathtaking. 5. Cell phone, Camera power bank cuz you will take a lot of pictures. 6. Your smile :) We had a Jeep Safari where we tried these things as well: - a drink with 70% alcohol - Poncha, 2 per Poncha - Natural swim place - great view during lunch I will remember this trip for a really long time :)

The driver Hugo was very friendly and knowledgable. Well worth it just to get away form the coaches of tourists you can visit places on the Island when it's much quieter than if you go on a coach trip and getting off-road you see places you wouldn't usually see.

We had a fantastic half day private Jeep tour with Green Devil Safaris in Madeira originally booked through Madeira Island Tours. Our tour guide was brilliant and did a great job at showing us a few of the spectacular sites of Madeira we could get to on a half day tour. On the offroad tracks we drove on as part of the tour, there were frequent stops in the middle of the road to pick wild mint, oregano or banana passion fruit. The stop for a glass authentic Madeira Puncha was perfectly timed amongst the 37 downhill back lanes roads showing some of the hidden gems of Madeira. Culminating in a stop at the seaside town of Câmara de Lobos for a leisurely walk to see some of the town. If you want to avoid the normal touristy crowds and see some great sites with a more personalised feel, then spending a half or full day with Green Devil Safaris is an absolute must.
