As vegetarian this is the place to visit! The vegan francesinha was happily changed to one with regular cheese for us ( one dose of chips) and it was a absolutely delicious. Even better than many I had with meat in the past. The staff is super friendly (gladly refiled my reusable water bottle), the restaurant is spacious and all the safety measures were in place. Super fair price as well. Will definitely come back!

Great vegan menu! I've been coming to this place for at least 4 years now and it never disappoints. The vegan francesinhas are great and close to the original ones (you can trust me, I was born in Porto :)). Also recommend the pica-pau as a starter, it's a mix of vegan meat substitutes with pickles and sauce.

One of my favorite restaurants in Porto. As an occasional customer, it never disappoints. Great environment (perfect for couples) and food. The francesinhas are a must, whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or even in the hunt for a more meaty sandwich. There's also a non-spicy sauce available.

If you are actually extremely hungry, and not too much in such of a gastronomic experience, this is one of the best places to experience the relatively infamous Francesinhas. One of the top five Portuguese specialities. Big portions. Friendly staff. Inexpensive. We don't regret our experience.

Went there for the francesinha which was good. I choose one with the steak which was a bit hard for my taste. The sauce was average because of the strong acidity of the tomatoes. But overall a nice meal. The waiters were nice and helpful. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed.

Really nice indoor space. We've tried two different Francesinhas and both were tasty.

We had planned to go to another restaurant nearby but they had a one hour wait on a Saturday afternoon, so we went to Francesinhas Al Forno. We ordered a Mista Salad (5.95) and 3-pepper steak (13.95) which comes with chips and small side salad. The salad was fresh and included tomato slices, corn, onion slices and a few olives. The pepper steak was a thin slice of beef no more than 100 grams, not that tender and included fat and gristle. The chips were cold. The service was attentive, the atmosphere is okay for a large dining room but the prices are too high for the food quality and portions.
