They preserved all the furniture and the decorations as it was before ad this was amazing to feel that I go through the same way as Amalia did and see the same things. I was quiet interested about the details of her personal life as she grew and the guide had absolute knowledge in details about her life. It was a pity that I could not take picture of inside the house as they did not allow it but only the reception and the yard was allowed. I highly recommend this museum especially for Fado lovers. The entrance is 6.5 euros and the discount is only for students under 25 years old.

Amazing fado experience, the artists were amazing. Although, the staff was slow and untrained( maybe desorganization due to COVID)

A very disappointing experience. I had bought tickets to visit the museum and to have the fado experience. I bought through the app of \fever\ a very famous app in Portugal which sells tickets for events, I had already used the app and never had had a problem. When I went with my tickets (3 tickets of 25 euros each) to Fundaçao Amalia Rodrigues, they said to me that the tour and fado were not available and they had nothing to do with the fever app (even if the name of the museum is clearly advertised in there) it’s hard for me to believe they don’t know where their services are advertised and sold. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing after having spent 75 euros and scheduling my sight seeing for the day in Lisbon in order to get at the museum on time. They simply said that I should contact the app that sold the tickets, that they had nothing to do whatsoever, not wanting to take any responsibility on it. The young lady at the reception was nice, empathetic and tried to help me and my family since we were clearly disappointed with the situation. However, and older lady that came from an office (she seemed to be like the one in charge) was extremely rude to me, she came to tell me that they had nothing to do with the tickets, and she even raised her voice at me when I was trying to ask for some responsibility on their side, I just couldn't believe that treatment. What a disgrace of behaviour towards customers that just feel scammed and disappointed with the whole situation. This is not an image you want to keep from Portuguese people, but to be fair, I think this is not the normal behaviour, it was just this woman incredibly impolite. In the end, we just left the place feeling very sad and disappointed with that kind of treatment. I wouldn't recommend the place unfortunately.

I had a lovely smoothie and coffee in the secret garden cafe, with a parrot to keep me company. Very serene space and friendly service.

Amazing how they preserved all her belongings and even her decoration. For someone interested in music and/or Fado, it's a very reaching experience. During dry seasons, it's possible to enjoy an inviting backyard for a coffee.

I can't commend the team here enough. Their passion for Amália was incredible and the fado after the tour with Matilde was a delight. Absolutely incredible.
