FlicksSystems, is a start-up focused on the development of forest monitoring systems. A system capable of wildfires fast detection, in their earliest moments, and that sends alerts with the coordinates and characteristics of wildfire is one of its solutions. The technology consists in a network of sensors that operate in continuous mode and are connected to a central server that will runs decision support algorithms. The technology can be installed in the forest, taking into account the sustainability policies and being integrated with existing structures, whenever it’s possible and, their autonomy, will be provided by renewable energy sources. The decision support algorithms allows full-scale information’s about wildfires, such as: the exact location of the wildfire, how it’s propagating, the best path to access the site and available resources to suppress it. This information will be shared with the appropriate authorities, enabling more effective firefighting and minimizing the economic, environmental and emotional losses. The technology has other applications beyond wildfire detection, being extremely useful to the forestry industry by collecting data such as tree growth indicators, evaluation of invasive species and supporting the management of forest inventories.
