I visited several Marina’s in Portugal but this one in Faro is one of the best! Highly recommend to visit for a walk, also the downtown area is very near so you can walk between them. There 3 nice hotels that I think it’s a good idea to book there.

Lovely wander round the very pretty walled old town & coffee with a view of the Ria Formoso & lunch in a very traditional Portuguese restaurant ..will be back to stay when we can!

Very beautiful marina, and the buildings are colonial style. You will find in the area many bars and restaurants where you try tasty wines and seafood at very affordable prices. The weather is very good almost the whole year.

Stunning place with docked ships, water yards and trees! This is the most visited spot in Faro and also has a FARO sign with huge alphabets for photography! The rusty train track and walking wooden paths give the whole ambience a great feel! The best place to be during dawn and dusk!

More than likely ok if you have a boat or need this but looking out from the marina is not a very interesting scenery. Tourist tours are available from the older marina next to the old town but the prices there are expensive. You'll make a big saving to go online to something like Viator and book from there.

You can always go there and have something to drink or eat since the \Baixa\ it's right next to it! It can take pretty pictures there but and near there you can take the boats to some islands! :)
