Great food, friendly staff. If you’re around Ericeira and in the mood for some authentic Portuguese food that’s the place to go to. Fish or meat doesn’t matter the food is really good here. Totally recommend. Prices are ok.

What a delight if you are looking for tasty, very reasonably priced and delicious homemade food. First up were beautiful fresh bread rolls served with fresh local cheese (similar in texture and taste to ricotta) alongside marinated olives. We then had the small mackerel fried which were perfectly cooked and sweet in flavour. The pork back strips were tasty as was the stew of pork, potato, chorizo and legumes. Perfectly cooked rice and fresh vegetables was more than enough for four of us. Portions are very generous. Would highly recommend if in Ericeira.

If you want to eat real local food this is the place you looking for! Ericeira, this lovely old fishing town became an international place, but Gafanhoto remained traditional, come on, go for it!

Wow wow wow what an amazing place to eat and just wonderful staff making wonderful seafood and surly everything else is excellent as well! Loved this place so much :)
