19 DAYS STUCK IN PORTUGAL to replace a battery and a circuit board on a foreign Mercedes car having suffered a breakdown : A Belgian Mercedes breaks down on Jan 19, 2018 in Portugal. 45 MINUTES after alerting the Belgian AG Assistance, it is towed by ACP (Portuguese Automobile Club) to the nearest Mercedes Agent: C Santos VP, Palmela. Perfect service so far, until C Santos VP – only authorised Mercedes Agents in Portugal (to the best of my knowledge) -- takes possession of the car. 7 DAYS later, despite daily painful calls (see reviews herein – they do have a sophisticated system to discourage you to talk to them), C Santos VP delivered a diagnostic and quotation. 12 DAYS was the time quoted by C Santos VP to replace the battery and the circuit board but only if their quotation was approved the same day, else it might take more time... (One might understand their pressure when looking at the prices quoted… 1.720 for a battery and a circuit board). Definitely a scam and a shame. PS: Cherry on the cake, they stole all the coins and cigarettes left in the car…
