Beautiful mysterious park. Made me feel like I was in a fable. For those of who might feel like it's a little dangerous because of the hidden alcoves... Remember that Portugal is one of the safest countries in the world. People there are respectful and kind.

I frequent this garden for more than 10 years. I will be brutally honest, this garden is amazing, it's one of the most relaxing places in Coimbra, you can come, read a book, run, refresh yourself as there are fountains, you have library attached as well the main university center. I strongly recommend during the morning for a more relaxed experience, park is empty or there is someone reading like me. I the afternoon and night there will be kids groups, most people call them delinquents but on my 10 years frequenting this place they never bothered me. At night, I would advice not to deep into the garden, as there is no light and many horror stories I love this place :)
Little beer garden in the middle of the Coimbra Botanical Garden. Excellent service and beer offers, quaint ambiance, well suited for a friendly night with the family of friends, either to relax or for some stronger drinking. Good location between several beer and snack bars. 5/5 would visit again.
A nice garden in the centre of the city but poorly maintained. We were there in the evening when there was a large, rowdy gathering of people in one part where we did not feel safe.
Usually beautiful and peaceful but the repair work from cyclone Leslie is on going today...nature...but beauty always returns
Nice relaxed park in the city center and safe and relax environment.
Beautiful but very dangerous with rivers and doggy people
It rained but the strength of the sun shines in every scrap of greenery after such a long winter.
