The entry fee was 1.10 and we were the only visitors. The friendly lady in the ticket office must have been very bored. The castle has wonderful views over the town and across the border to Spain. Worth a 30 minute stroll for sure.

Well worth a visit, to better understand the size of this structure. Also visit the Fort on the opposite side. Great views.

Seems interesting as a castle. Opening hours (probably during summer) are 9:30-13:00 and 14:30-18:00. Bring cash as they don’t accept debit cards or any other payment.

We went here mid February, it was 1.10 to get in. Not bad for the price, if you like a little bit of history. While it is up a path that is not wheelchair or push chair friendly, the views were beautiful over to Spain and around that area of Portugal. At that time of year there wasn't much happening but it meant no crowds so you can really take in everything (there aren't many information signs so we googled a lot of it). It was a lovely hour or so. Really not suitable for less able as the floor is uneven and there is a bit of climbing. I'm glad we went and saw it, for that price it was pleasant. Friendly staff in the ticket office.

Oh wow this place was awesome, great views of miles and the salt fields and villages etc, loads to see including a display of ancient artifacts and entry is free

Hard to find, where to park? No access for strollers or wheelchairs. Entrance is 1,10. View over area is great. Aside from that not worth the visit. Hardly any information about the castle itself. Had to go to Wikipedia to get some info. No staff present. Just an old castle with a lot of empty spaces. Some areas can be dangerous.

What a dump! 1,10 entrance fee, collected by a woman who was more interested to talk with her friend on the phone. No information whatsoever about its history or what not. Also the parking is very difficult to find (is there even an official parking?). Just skip this place, it's not even worth your while if you drive through Castro Marim!

Amazing views from the top and only 1.10 to get in! Nice to see the history of the site and there were some bits of information to read (although there could have been more). Interesting torture exhibition... quite graphic with diagrams and wax models!
