A place you should definitely stopped by. I wanted a little sweet after eating in a tourist trap. I asked for a pastry which is composed of cream and almond. My gosh it was so delicious. When I wanted to pay. The camarero said no need. I think it was a sample. Wonderful experience!

A genuinely pleasant surprise. Surrounded by lots of tourist traps, this place has an outdoor section in the square to sit and enjoy the food/pastries. Our first visit was for a coffee and cake, both very good value and delicious. Our second visit for lunch we discovered they had a 10menu which included a traditional Portuguese main course (I had the octopus and potatoes, which were pretty good), drink, pastry and a coffee. My main course was priced at least 14 at the surrounding places, so this was a real bargain. Obviously not gourmet cuisine, but good hearty food and great for the price. My sonho (donut) was delicious! Waiting staff were really nice and quick service, and they didn’t try to hassle you for business, like some of the other places nearby. Lots of locals going here too, so you can tell it’s good!
