Nicely curated, if not gimmicky, shop for canned fish. They offer a nice variety at prices above what you would pay elsewhere. A good experience and worth seeing when in the neighborhood.

This concept store deserves a visit for its decoration and to take a picture: There are thousands of cans of sardines with retro decoration with a printed year. I saw many tourists taking pictures and few to buy the cans. To appreciate the canned Portuguese sardines there are better options. Buying a can for souvenir from Porto and Portugal seems interesting.

Sardines in a can for 7 EUR... Yes, but in a tin dated by year mentioning achievements (e.g. 1953 the DNA) and famous people who were born then. The shop inside, bottom and first floor are well worth a visit, just incredible.

Nice design but prices are little bit too high....

Text book example of tourism apocalypse. This once authentic locale's favourite grocery store has sucumb to the horde of tourists looking for a tatty souvenir. With (for now) so many authentic places to shop in, why would anyone actually buy anything here?? How does a tinned sardine with some random date stamp pass as \authentic\??

Friendly helpful sales staff, they sell locally grown sardines CoMur from Murtosa, and bacalau too.
