Such a great experience, unfortunately we haven't seen any dolphins but of course it's nature.. They gave us some good explanation at the beginning, we received a lifejacket and a jacket for the wind and during the trip they did their best to find them. It was sad, but the trip over the waters was at least worth it!
Although the sighting rate is quite high and in most occasions dolphins are found, which proves the professionalism of the skipper, I had a bad experience related to the state of the sea that day. The typical Sagres wind was blowing strong and the sea was rough and I feel that we were not prepared or adequately informed of these conditions prior to entering the boat. This had an impact on the trip, which was very bumpy, violent at times, and seemed like a roller coaster. It's fine if you like extreme sports and roller coaster feelings but I'd rather be told about this in advance and make my own decisions. I've watched whales in the Azores some years ago in the same type of boat and the sea was calm and I had a much more enjoyable experience. When I asked the professional if the sea was going to continue being like this and she said it would get worse, about 10 to 15 mns after the start of the trip, I asked to get back, a demand that was never answered. I felt mocked and ignored by one of the professionals who refused to take me back or to change the route to a more quiet one (as far as I know). This is not what I expected from this trip and this is not the type of professionalism I hope for when I signed up. We did see dolphins and some beautiful sights but not in the best conditions to be out in the sea and not a relaxing time at all. The lack of professionalism of the person leading the trip and her lack of empathy were appalling and I recommend anyone making this trip to ask for clear information before the start.
Excellent with very knowledgeable staff we saw some dolphins within ten minuets of leaving the harbour and then as we ventured forther we found a group of 5 Wales absolutely breathtaking. Great value for money.
Amazing tour! The staff was super friendly, spoke 3 languages (PT, EN, ES) during the explanations, so that everybody would understand what was said. They gave us a good insight regarding the sea life in the region before the trip. Besides that, the semi rigid boat they use was perfect for us to get a closer look to the dolphins, they came really near us (about 1m distance only), and we had a perfect view of the group of dolphins! I totally recommend the tour with this company.
Really awesome place, you will see alot of dolphins and the crew is really friendly and cares about those fascinating animals. Its definitely worth to visit.
