Excellent food, moderate pricing. A small setting and was a bit hard to get there. But that was alright. The beef chamosas were the best we tried in europe! The lamb dish was flavorful and the grilled chicken with hot sauce were exactly as we hoped it will be! Highly recommend if you want to try something non-Portuguese during your stay in Lisbon :)

Small choice on the menu. Terrible starters. Main food wasn't that warm when it arrived. Food wasn't anything much that anyone could do at home. Coffee served in a cold cup. Very little variety of drinks. It was Winter, and it was cold outside. No warmth at all inside. Never took my coat off. A drunken local kept bothering everybody on every table, most of the time without a mask and with his trousers zipper undone; yet nobody from the restaurant told him off for bothering the guests.

Food is good, though a bit pricey. Great imported beer. I would recommend to my friends.

Amazing little find. Great peri peri style chicken, samosas were good too. Authentic African food. Also had beers from Angola and Mozambique. Very reasonably priced, staff friendly and cosy location.

Nice little spot to eat something. But it takes ages to get your order. The food is good.

I wanted to like this place so badly!! We found the place by accident and thought I’d looked great, unfortunately the good reviews on google don’t match the reality, here’s why: 1. I’m not going to dig deep into the service, it is a restaurant set in the street so of course you cannot expect fancy cutlery and napkins... however, the waiters were so rude shouting at the people arriving and throwing the stuff at your table 2. Curry shrimp - meh, not good not bad but it is not worth the money and the calories! Anyone can make a better version of that dish at home 3. Chicken - I didn’t had the traditional roasted chicken because it was all gone instead they waiter pushed us on trying this chicken stew that tasted awful!! It was flavourless, the chicken was overcooked and the side coconut rice didn’t tasted like rice or coconut it was just filling!! This was the kind of food you will feed an army, pure substance no flavour!! 4. Sweet plantain starter - I cannot say much about this because we never got it! Even after reminding the waiters 3 times!!! (They only seemed to remember about it when we got the bill) In overall it was an awful experience, I don’t know what the hype is about or if I went on the only day when the food wasn’t good! The prices are too much for what it is and I left the place feeling so upset! I’ve spent 5 days in Lisbon and this was by far the worst culinary experience I had in the whole trip!!

Food is expensive, bland and the portions are small the service is really not efficient. Plus at the end the waiter asked repeatedly for a tip. Do not recommend at all. It used to be good, not worth it anymore. In more details: muamba de galinha is 3 pieces of dry chicken with no taste, 2 ladyfingers and a slice of super overcooked courgette. Can't recall if it was 12 or 13 euro. We also tried wuco amendoim it was bland, overcooked and basically the only veggies in it were peas. Either 12 or 13 euro. The waiter forgot the orders, didn't bring the right orders and made the table pay for extra boiled rice as they took out a bigger platter of it to share (in covid times). We were 11, and real hungry still as the portions are minuscule. Imperial 2 euros, pretty pricey too. Comes the bill and I paid 33 euro for 2 people, in spite of terrible service the waiter kept asking for a tip saying at least 10 euro. Seriously? I used to eat here many years ago it was cheap and if not the best African restaurant in town, it was decent. Do not waste your time here, there are much better places to eat at.

We visited this restaurant 3 years ago and we loved it. However, we don’t know what happened in the meantime because this occasion was terrible. It took them one hour (no exaggeration) to bring the food, which was absolutely tasteless. You expect some taste when trying a restaurant from Mozambique, but it was not the case. Moreover, the food was served on kind of prison food trays which made it even less attractive. Billing took long as well as the electronic system failed... Price was higher than the average in the city and quality did not match it. A clear disappointment.
