On general staff is very helpful and rooms are clean. Although breakfast could be better. The main problem is with rooms, you got them in pairs and door between them, do you can hear everything your neightboor is doing. Also you have to pay extra if you want to play football.

We were really impressed with this hotel. There was no parking when we arrived so the gentleman working reception moved his for our convenience. So incredibly thoughtful. In the morning we had to leave early for our flight. Hotel staff was so pleasant and accommodating by allowing us to start breakfast early. It goes to show you don't have to be a 5 star hotel to provide 5 star service. The view was amazing and the rooms were super clean!

We booked the hotel as a last minute deal so the price was ok. But... It is a big old hotel, it was refurbished probably 20-30 years ago so as you can imagine old bathrooms with painted tiles (??) :D , single beds, no fridge or hair dryer in the rooms. The breakfast is poor, always the same selection. The eggs were horrible. No brown sugar or sweetener, coffee is bad, sometimes no available seats in the restaurant at breakfast time. They didn't changed the towels for a whole week. If you book here, prepare your self for these things as sometimes these are annoying during your holiday. The pools are nice, the staff was very friendly and helpfull. Overall not the worst but for a bit more money there are a lot better hotels.

Stylish apartments, corp N2 was real Ocean view incl Christo Rey. A lot of groups of noisy French, so some performances for them lasts till midnight and if you wanna sleep it is necessary to close door on the balcony... Bus stop next to the the entrance, as per schedule every 30 minutes to Funchal and back, pleasant walk to Canico by feet also possible. Location of this hotel is perfect. You should check possibility to use 2 hidden stairways and pass from your room to the Rey or teleferico to the beach takes just 15 minutes. Gift souvenir shop is much cheaper than in Funchal... To complete: swimming pool under roof is the biggest, breakfast is eatable , just beware of coffee from machine.

It's an ok hotel happy hour started at 11.15am but Suppose to start at 11am and only 25% off our room is old and need up Dating lots of TLC the chamber maids are very nice

Could be so much better.... Why does the management comment on guests reviews BUT DO NOTHING to improve things? For the price paid there should be a hair dryer, shower gel and hair conditioner in the bathrooms. Breakfast should not be so poor with cold scrambled eggs, juice that has never met an orange, exactly the same every day. Half board dinner offers fresh fruit platters of pineapple, melon, kiwi etc but breakfast is apple, orange and sometimes bananas. Not good enough! No dishes to put jam etc in, guests were using glasses and saucers. Staff work hard at clearing and replenishing. Reception staff are varied, one female actually shouted at me when I misunderstood her, whilst another was very helpful in securing a taxi on New Year’s Eve. I will not return, or recommend to others. By spending a few extra euros per guest, this could be a very acceptable hotel, - but it isn’t.
