Amazing camping with beautiful portuguese nature. I love coming here. The places for tents are beautiful and you can even set up your tent right next to the river! The bar also has nice options for snacks, dinner and drinks. A few of the options are even homemade and worth a try! There's a great river for swimming or canoeing right by the camping which is great in the hot summer months. No complaints and would recommend to anyone!

Great nature spot. Located side de river Tâmega. Quiet, clean and Jochen was very friendly to welcome us after late evening. We did swim in the river and it was very relaxing. Absolutely recommend.

We had a terrific holiday at Quinta do Rio. The campsite is basic, but comfortable. The atmosphere is relaxed and being a way from the larger roads it is very cosy. The owners Jochem and Sandra make you feel at home. Of course due to the Dutch owners, the majority of guest during the high season was Dutch.The river Tamega is very accessible and this makes it a very good camping with children that love to swim and play in the water. The only minor drawback at our spot (sahara 2) was the noise of the stone quarries at the opposite mountain site, but you didn't hear much of it at the rest of the camping.

promising great dutch campsite. Not for me as I'm not looking for big groups of dutch campers traveling from germany back home to portugal in my vacations, but I can see the positive aspects of a dry dutch humor and the rural place, prohibiting succesful visits by people who can't drive campers and the categorical exclusion of wi-fi making the place incredibly favorable to real tent campers on a great place in a superb region. I see many wonderful dutch camping holiday experiences served. Congrats. Hahaha "folding caravans" and big "de luxe campers".... hahahaha, great stories to read, here.

Heerlijke 2 weken vakantie gehad op de schitterende Quinta do Rio. Echt een paradijsje midden in de natuur. Helemaal geen last gehad van Coronaperikelen. Dit is een superveilige plek! We verbleven in de comfortabele Lodge, heel privé gelegen boven op de camping. Er is hier meer dan genoeg te doen: elke dag zwemmen in de Rio, kanovaren, vissen, wandelen en een bezoek aan een van de pittoreske plaatsen in de buurt. Jochem is een perfecte gastheer. Gezellig en behulpzaam met zijn mascottes Binky en Pipo. Als extraatje mochten we onze geadopteerde pup ophalen bij een opvang in de regio en ook deze heeft het prima naar haar zin gehad. Wij komen hier zeker nog een keer terug!
