I completed my advanced open water certification here. This is definitely not a certification mill, but rather a shop that actively provides individual feedback and coaching during each dive. I especially valued the direct correction of things I was doing incorrectly and tips and tricks on what to do better next time. It was clear that Bruno & Suzi are passionate about what they do, and they choose staff that share that passion. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a dive spot search no further- rental equipment is also top notch and in good condition.

My boyfriend and I completed our Open Water certifications with the Best Spot team in November/December. From first contact, they were responsive, friendly, and willing to answer any questions. We both dealt with nerves/anxieties at different points in the process, and the divemasters were attentive, patient, flexible, and encouraging. Even though it was winter and during the pandemic, we felt safe and comfortable and enjoyed some beautiful dive sites. Equipment is well cared for and the team on the boat dives is excellent. The only thing we'd note is that especially if you're tall, the pool training is done in a shallower public pool, so you won't experience depth until out in the ocean. We would highly recommend choosing this dive shop for your visit to São Miguel.

Went to dive 3 times with them last week: - two dives 5-10 minutes from the dive center including the magic Dori Wreck - one offshore dive to Mobulas (I saw 28 mobulas on the same time... it's pretty unique!). This one was of course pretty expensive due to the distance. If you're considering it, please keep in mind that you have to stay 4 to 5 hours on a boat for the trip (round trip). But yes, it's worth it. The team's always been nice, the prepare everything for you. Bruno's wife (I think, the one's dealing with everyone's equipment and answering the phone at the same time) is super super nice. If I ever come back to the Azores I will not hesitate to come here and I recommend that you do.

I did my open water 2 dives with Bestspotazures and I had the pleasure to dive with Bruno, Ruben, Paulo and Luis. I can absolutely recommend this center, the staff is very professional, friendly, reliable and I felt very safe while diving. The diving sites were great too, from ship wreck to lava fields and great sea life. Thank you so much guys (and Suzy too!!!)

I went on some dives in June and July of 2020 with Best Spot Azores and it was an (already) unforgettable experience. They have an attentive, friendly, experienced team who delivers consistently. Diving with them on the beautiful (and full of life) São Miguel waters was fun, instructive and safe -- all the Covid-19 measures in place to ensure the dives are safe for everyone. I can't recommend this dive center enough. There's no way I'm not coming back here!

Best spot indeed! We did the open water diver course in December and it was really cold, but they provided us with a change of suits between dives, plus cookies and hot tea The diving sites were amazing (Dory & Willy Wonka) and we loved the experience. Suzi and Bruno are detail oriented and very patient with their students. We felt like we are part of their family and couldn’t be happier of choosing this place. Will come back to check out the 40 spots to dive in São Miguel.

Very professional and friendly dive shop with the boats for any occasion and type of diving. We did four dives close to the shore and everything was great, from the professionalism to the dive gear and also the condition of the boat. The guides are knowledgeable and helped us find many hidden creatures including a very playful octopus. While biking from home they always responded any inquiry within half an hour, even on Sundays! We're looking forward to diving with them again during our stay.
