Wonderful start to exploring Terceria. It gives a very good understanding of the geological formations of the island and its fauna and flora. You can learn about Terceria with a local guide, speaking English. Staff is the best!

It's a tiny little centre with a wealth of information. Our guide explained about the geological, flora and fauna of the island. Creative use of space. Well worth your time.

Vale a pena começar por aqui a visita à Terceira. Acreditem. Pouco divulgado, mas é pena. Tem uma excelente visita guiada que explica muito bem todos os pormenores da ilha, desde a sua formação à sua vegetação e tradições. Simpatia. Excelentes vistas do local.

Tanto esta serra, ponto mais alto da ilha, como os Mistérios Negros fazem parte do Parque Natural e agrupam uma grande diversidade de espécies, hábitats e ecossistemas protegidos.o vulcão de Santa Bárbara é um vulcão extinto, com cerca de 13 km de diâmetro na base cômica e com 1021 metros de altura.
