booked a deluxe room for 2. i know its a hostel but there were just too many things that bothered me and i didnt want to deal with during my holidays. the staff tried to help but in the end i decided to cancel everything and move somewhere else. 4* because i got all the money back and i know they are trying. the room was not fully cleaned, i found a whole piece of bread in the sofa. at first the water wasnt running and for short stay we were not allowed to use the kitchen and pointed to a room with a non working microwave. as i said i know its a hostel and not a 5* hotel but still in the end 65 a night was just too much for all this :) i wish you guys all the best for the future!

I've been there for a while and it's amazing the job made by the staff in providing both amazing experience and service. The service provided by Carlos, Viada and Sheila in the reception is super affective and they are always there when you need. The guys from the bar: Carol, Daniel and Vini giving us an amazing experience with their attention and creating the best atmosphere. Paula, Rosa, Onaxa and Isabel working so hard to make everything perfect for everyone's stay. And last, but not least, they have the most amazing cook Sonam that slays at the meals and burgers. So, if you're looking for a whole experience this is the place to go :)
Perfect place for stay. Arrifana has the best surf vibe on the west coast. This place (hostel) is full of surfers, staff is very nice, joyful and the fooood. Oh my God cheap and tasty. Toasted croissant with ham and cheese. Awsome. You can watch the sunset from roof terrace. And the surf beach is 10 minutes walking. Dorms are standard for the low price here.
Had a dinner and a few drinks here. The restaurant offers a few vegetarian positions that are really delicious. Easy going place to hang out. Guest that are from outside of the host are allowed enter before 11 pm ( I guess due to the virus situation)
AMAZING! Simply fantastic! You could not ask for more while traveling the south of Portugal, this place deserves even more than 5 stars! The location is amazing, only a few minutes walking from Arrifana beach and not far away from other amazing spots and viewpoints. The staff is probably the cutest one I've ever seen, everyone is so helpful and always smiley: Ricardo, Vlada, Carol, Gabi, Sheila.. THANK YOU! The hostel has a fantastic terrace too, where to enjoy a breathtaking sunset and such a cool bar and restaurant, where you'll get the chance to try the delicious and cheap food Derek will be preparing for you. So many thanks for this time we had together! I can't wait to be back!
It has been an exceptional experience spending a weekend in the Arrifana Destination Hostel. The staff made me and my friends feel very welcome from the beginning and are eager to spent their time getting to know their guests. The rooms are super clean and the facility has a lot to offer from pool to barbecue area. I hope it has not been my last visit.
Amazing and peaceful place, rooms are very clean and well decorated. Staffs are helpful and friendly. I visit there during COVID19 and all the safety was taken care of. The restaurant has delicious and cheap food, you should try it. They have a beautiful beach not far from the hostel and natural parc on the cliffs. Highly recommended.
Extremely noisy at night. Bar area outside rooms. Not good for hikers wanting to walk and need to start early. Place was nice. Bar food overpriced. Nice staff.
