Decent restaurant but I don’t know if it is really worth it really. It’s not that the food is bad; it really isn’t. But it’s not as fancy as it promises to be from the view inside and from The restaurant. It has a lot of potential. And the Fish i ordered was quite good. Yet- it doesn’t quite live up to its high rank and reputation. The service is okay although maybe a little slow. But other than that you get good food for a decent price. More like 3,5 stars.

Amazing food, the best restaurant in Ribeira Grande and one of the best on the island. Food is delicious, we took the daily fish soup, seafood and fish and they were all amazing. The service is impeccable, the staff is so nice and attentive!! And the food arrived perfectlyd elicious and super fast. Perfect!

The place is an expensive and a poor attempt at fine dinning. Had octopus, wrechfish pastry, steak, shrimp and blood sausage. Disgusting quality. Service is terrible. Even the waiter said to stay away from some dishes because \they are a terrible attempt at fine dinning\. Stayed at St Miguel for a month and never had a worse experience

This place was recommended by someone in the area after finding out the restaurant we initially wanted to go to was closed for hours. This is one of the only ones that remains open when most are closed and even during this time the food is fresh and service is quick of course since there’s limited people. Between the hours of 4-6pm. We came here 2 more times during our stay in Sao Miguel. I will be back here the next time also. The young servers are funny and know their stuff. They really make this place have good energy. We ate inside because one day it was too hot to eat out and the other it was too windy. But I do recommend the terrace with breathtaking views.

Was only ok. Fish has nice quality but it wasn’t nicely made. They haven’t been using any rich seasoning for the fish or vegetables. Service ok.

Don’t get deceived with the high rating. The food is subpar. Not worth the extra charge. The view is decent, but nothing special. I wouldn’t recommend it. If you want to enjoy the view, get drinks instead.

Great home-style “caseira” food and incredible view of the ocean with an open air patio and indoor dining area. When I was last there, pre-COVID, I was celebrating my 50th birthday with my wife so the intimate setting of the patio was just right. The cataplana was very generous and the fresh local fish was a real treat for a transplanted Portuguese living in Canada. I topped this meal off with a tasty creme brûlée and perfectly brewed expresso coffee. This place is a real dining experience and cannot be savoured in a hurry so be sure to give yourself a good 2 hours to really soak up the sights, sounds and smells.
