Anyone visiting Chaves would do well to visit this absolute gem of a place. House red carafe for 5 Euros was delicious - really really good. And the lamb chops were to die for. Try it, you won't regret it. A lovely meal in a really interesting building for 25 Euros a couple is extraordinary really. Someone knows what they're doing in the kitchen, for sure.

Great spot for traditional food and wine from the region. The food was excellent, with special mention to the fried tuna steak, alheira, tomato rice, and walnut cake. The house (green) wine was very good as well. The location itself is very interesting, and old industrial wine cellar, and the restaurant is over 100 years old. If you are looking for a traditional place to have lunch or dinner in Chaves, this is an excellent option.
